As a creative business owner, it's easy to find yourself wearing multiple hats, each one heavier than the last. If you don't regularly give yourself time to pause and rest amid the chaos, you can find yourself wading deep in burnout.
Here are some practical strategies that will help you burnout-proof your business - for good.
"Self care is critical to enable you to see your vision, goal and actions clearly. When you stop worrying about survival, you can create with ease and joy."
- Renee Minchin
Here's how to get
on top of your wellbeing
Step One
Start taking things off your plate
If you're feeling burnt out, chances are, you've got too much on your plate. Creating a business is a marathon, not a sprint. It is consistent repetitive action.
If you haven't already, it might be time to consider bringing on a new team member to support you.
If you can't afford a part-time or full-time team member yet, consider investing in an automated system (like Dubsado) or outsourcing small tasks to a virtual assistant so you can get some breathing room in your schedule.
Step Two
Create a marketing plan
Identify the most critical marketing goals for your business. Trying to do everything at once can lead to overwhelm.
If you want more sales, prioritise the marketing activities you know will drive business and the platforms where your audiences hang out.
PS: If you hate social media marketing, this is something you can absolutely hire out to someone else.
